Because we have many surgical patient’s that travel a long distance to see Dr. LaFerriere, we have developed a "concierge level" of care that makes travel from out of town comfortable, confidential, and stress free.

Pre-Screening Evaluation

We offer a pre-screening evaluation (see below) for patients that live out of our area. We know that the decision to undergo facial cosmetic surgery is a big one and want to save you from making an unnecessary trip to see Dr. LaFerriere at his Springfield, Missouri office if there are obvious reasons you may not be a candidate. Realistic Expectations

It is important that you understand what facial plastic surgery can and cannot do. Facial refinement can have a profound impact on your appearance, but it can’t change your whole life. It is intended to make you look better, not different. If you feel that facial cosmetic surgery is the answer to your problems, proceed with caution. If you have a healthy attitude about yourself and about surgery, you will most likely be very pleased with your results.

General Health

It is necessary that you provide Dr. LaFerriere with a complete medical history. He wants to ensure that you are healthy and that surgery will be a safe option for you. If there are any questions about the state of your general health, he will ask you to get clearance from your medical doctor prior to surgery.

Financial Readiness

In addition to being physically and emotionally ready, it is important that you are prepared to shoulder the cost of your procedure. We will be happy to discuss approximate fees for surgical procedures on the phone and will give you a detailed written surgical quote after your consultation with Dr. LaFerriere. We have various payment options available.

Medical History

Get the necessary photos taken. It is imperative that you use a zoom lens with adequate lighting and a solid color background for these photos. Any camera with a zoom lens at full magnification should be sufficient for these pictures. A normal point and shoot wide angle lens will distort the face and nose too much for an accurate evaluation. Any portrait studio (Olan Mills, K-Mart, etc.) should be able to provide these shots easily and at a relatively low cost.

The necessary photos need to be head shots from the bottom of the neck to the top of the head, not full body.

2 Oblique Views (right and left ¾ views)
1 Basal View bottom of nose (ONLY FOR RHINOPLASTY EVALUATIONS)
